Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell, an American TV chef, and an former Institute of Culinary Education instructor, is a TV personality. She is host of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef at Food Network. Food Network. Anne Burrell, a Food Network celebrity with her signature spikey blonde hair and bubbly personality, reveals simple techniques to master and reduces anxiety about restaurant food on her TV show Secrets of a Restaurant. Chef Burrell was employed for a time in New York at top restaurants as well as studied Italian cuisine tradition and its landscape. She also competed as Iron Chef America on Food Network. While growing up in the upper reaches of New York area, Chef Burrell discovered a love of cooking and food at a young age. The Culinary Institute of America was the next stage for her after she graduated with the Bachelor of Arts in English and Communication in the fall of 2004 from Canisius College Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America has been a great adventure. Culinary Institute of America was an excellent place to study. Following graduation of the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners Chef Burrell spent an entire year in Italy studying and working at La Taverna del Lupo restaurant located in Umbria as well La Bottega del 30 one Michelin star restaurant in Tuscany. It was during this time that her experience in Italy allowed her to comprehend and appreciate Italian tradition and philosophy, which has had an impact on her own food and culinary experience. Burrell is a celebrity ambassador for the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation. She is a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board, which helps kids who have challenges. As a guest speaker and teacher she travels across the U.S. to share her love for cooking and professional career. In her journey to culinary excellence, Anne has often said that I am so lucky to be able to share my true passion to others.
