Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine, a singer-composer well-known for his distinctive blend of soul gospel jazz R&B as well as R&B. Sunshine has performed everywhere from Broadway to the Democratic National Convention to the European scene of clubs and festivals. Sunshine has been born Denise White. Although she is a resident of Atlanta now, Sunshine is born in Chester Pennsylvania. In Chester Pennsylvania she began her career as a musician by singing and playing in the local church. After graduation from Spellman College, Atlanta she embarked on her journey of music in the Atlanta's R&B music scene. She took on the role of primary piano player for Tyler Perry's stage show Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday (a Grammy and Tony Award winner) was approached for the position of choral conductor of Dreamgirls in Atlanta for the National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine was recognized nationally for her daily shows in 2008 at the Democratic National Convention. She was later invited to sing in the Obama administration's 2008 inauguration.
